Jon Whittle is married to Karina Sliwinski and lives in Lancaster, England. When not bogged down in research, he pursues a serious hobby as an award winning actor, director and writer. His play "Searching for God in Kerala" won Best of Fringe at the 2003 San Francisco Fringe Festival. He has also appeared as actor or director at five Edinburgh Fringe festivals, at the Windsor Fringe, and at the inaugural Capital Fringe in Washington, D.C. Jon studies the Indian classical dance kuchipudi and has performed this dance in both India and the United States.
