Recent changes and developments regarding this website:
Studio for creating puzzles — There is now a studio where you can create your own puzzles and test them for solvability.
Multiple on-line solutions — The on-line solver can now generate a page showing upto 5 solutions from the submitted puzzle. It should also be easier to save a copy of a solution now.
Fast-complete algorithm in use — The on-line solver now uses a single, integrated algorithm which should be both fast and complete.
Korean translation for applet — 김경래 (Kyungrae Kim) has provided a Korean translation for the applet solver.
Olšáks' algorithm in use — The on-line solver now uses a version of the Olšáks' algorithm, which is fast and apparently almost complete.
RSS feed for links — The list of external Nonogram sites is now available as an RSS feed.
SVG output improved again — SVGs from the on-line solver now have even better standard-conformance, and are displayed directly in Firefox 1.5.
SVG output improved — SVGs from the on-line solver now have better standard-conformance, more space for clues, and represent empty grids better.
On-line solver returns — The on-line solver is running again, but will hopefully shut itself down if it starts misbehaving as it did before.
SVG output — The on-line solver can now generate SVGs.
Testing new software — The on-line solver and the archive/gallery are back up again for a test run. I'm trying out an alternative approach to CGI that should keep the load down when complex puzzles are being solved, as well as using the PNG library from C. Grid generation is also now more smoothly integrated with solving and archiving.
