i've begun VJing with kiwi mel and pin&play nic at Feedback, lancaster's only kewl VJ night with some snazzy DJ stylie as well. I don't know what I'm doing but it is a helluva lotta fun. thanx to the feedback crew for making life more interesting....

beef jerky
forget twigs and berries! i love marinated and cured meat, especially beef jerky. here's a list of beef jerky recipes. funny thing -- i noticed that the price of jerky doubled in the states in the past year and i couldn't figure out why. then someone pointed out to me that jerky was part of the v.trendy atkins diet...seems as though jerky is now big business. go figure. all the more reason to try one of the above recipes.

kiteboarding
early in 2003 i decided to step up my snowboarding skills and rented a buggy & power kite. after spending an incredible weekend on a beach in wales, i purchased a 3.0 four-line PKD Buster kite and KHEO kiteboard. i've spent most weekends trying to find the ultimate kiteboarding sweet spot in the north west, and have found a small one in Heysham (close to Morecambe Bay) but the best place is St. Anne's and Fylde beach (close to Blackpool) -- huge beach area and lots of other buggies and kite enthusiasts around.
