Here's the story of Naomi and me spending a weekend in Paris to celebrate
her 21st birthday.
We flew out on the Friday afternoon. While we were out naomi twisted
her ankle, so first job On Saturday
was to find a bandage for her. Here she is, putting
the bandage on. Fortunately, it was a sunny morning so
we could sit in the sun.
Then we went for a walk. Here's Naomi,
outside Notre Dame.
In the afternoon, we went for a ride on one of the many river boats.
here's Naomi and Claire enjoying
the ride. you can see the Place de la Concorde in the background,
with the big wheel. We went for a ride on that on Sunday
We went further along the river and saw the back
end of Notre Dame.
Eventually we got as far as the Eiffel
Tower. The sun had gone in, maybe that's why Claire doesn't look
happy!
On the Sunday morning, we went walking again and found the
famous statue by Rodin. It's called The Kiss.
It's just to the side of this
park. You can see the wheel again, and the Arc de Triomphe if you look
hard.
Turn around from that photo and this is what you see - The
Louvre.
On Sunday afternoon we went round the Catacombs. That means cave full
of old bones. Sorry, no photos!
On Monday the weather was horrible, but that didn't stop us going to
have a look at Sacre Coeur and
then going
right across the city to see the Montparnasse
Tower, but we didn't go up it.
back at Claire's flat, here's the view
from the kitchen window
here's a funny shot of Naomi
sitting at the kitchen table
on the way home - a shot to prove we
did go by plane
