I am director of the UCREL research centre and a research fellow in the Computing Department, in the Infolab21 building at Lancaster University in Lancaster, UK. I am co-director of The Research Engine.

• This week I've been mostly reading ...
• I'm co-organising the ICAME-30 conference, which will be held at Lancaster University from 27-31 May 2009
• I co-edit the Corpora Journal published by Edinburgh University Press. Issue 3:1 has now been published. Issue 3:2 is currently being typeset by EUP.
• ICAME Journal published by Aksis (Bergen, Norway); printed and distributed by UCREL. Issue 32 was published and posted to subscribers in May 2008 following delivery from the printers.
• LRE Journal special issue on Multiword expressions: notification was delayed following some late reviews, but decisions have now been issued.
• Along with Mark Davies (Brigham Young University) I co-edit the Routledge Frequency Dictionaries Series
