I am currently a Senior Research Associate in the Computing Department of Lancaster University, UK, where
I have been working on a Network Virtualization
Architecture for wide-area service deployment and on a platform for high-performance and flexible virtual routers on commodity hardware.
Previously, I was a Research Associate in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of Democritus University of Thrace, Greece,
where I obtained my Ph.D.
My main research area was cross-layer design for multimedia applications in heterogeneous wired/wireless networks with emphasis on congestion control.
At the same
time, I was also an Adjunct Lecturer in the Information Management Department of Technological Institute of Kavala,
Greece, where I was teaching Operating Systems.
Prior to my Ph.D., I received an M.Sc. in Information Technology from the University of Nottingham, UK
and a B.Sc. in Computer Science from University of Crete, Greece.
