Closure Same background as before, yes,
it's been a year since we went AWOL. Well, AWL actually but that sounds a bit
weak :-) Today we went to Santa Cruz (yes, again!), met up with Chris,
Jay and the girls for dinner and lots of Tequila. It was Jay and Chris'
wedding anniversary so we got to check out some wedding photos and drink lots
of nice beer and wine. They also gave us a bottle of Kistler wine (a pretty
distant relative they assure us) which we are really looking forward to
drinking. Staggered home late.
Packed up The last few days have been
great. We've been out with lots of friends, including a party from Sony, and
generally had a really nice time. We've also packed up the apartment, sold the
car and generally got ready to leave. As we head out of the apartment for the
last time it's with a mixture of sadness - it's been a great time - and excitement
at the prospect of coming home: it's been a long time.
Home We flew into Heathrow and Mum and
Dad picked us up and now we are back in sunny Slough. Well, rainy Slough
actually. Already some of the memories are starting to fade so I'm really glad
we did these web pages to remember our time away by. I hope you've enjoyed
reading them as much as I have writing them and hopefully we can do it all
again some time soon.
