24/06/08 @ 7PM: Engagement / Holiday / Seminar

There is lots of interesting stuff going on at the moment. First off, congratulations to my friends Jo and Jamie, who just got engaged! Also, James and I met with the venture capitalists from MSIF on Monday in our capacity as directors of Isis Forensics which provided lots of interesting food for thought. Also this Thursday at 10AM you can catch me give a seminar on my wireless sensor network work (right panel). I head to the U.S. Gulf States for two weeks from next Monday, so I have lots to finish off before I go… let the panic commence!

25/06/08 @ 7PM:  Reading

Just a quick update -- I’ve added a few books to my reading page. Also, our submission to the WASA 2008 conference was accepted. The paper is now available on my research page.

08/06/08 @ 11AM: Busy Business

It has been another busy week for Isis Forensics. Our presentation at the I-Tech partner event was very well received and generated a lot of interest amongst the attending venture capitalists as well as among potential partner companies. These are exciting times, and we have a number of meetings scheduled over the next month to follow up on these leads. The first of which will be a demo and presentation at the Northern Startup event in Manchester.

27/05/08 @ 8PM: New Team Member

I have some good news to report. My friend Jo Mackie has joined Isis Forensics’ dysfunctional little family. Jo will manage our sales team and help to develop our marketing approach. So far every one of the staff we’ve hired has a doctorate. James is worried that we’re elitist… and maybe we are! Jo has worked in sales for a number of years now (*just* doing a PhD is just too easy for some people) and already I think that her enthusiasm has helped to energize the rest of the team. Oh, in other Isis-related news, I will be presenting our products and services at the June I-tech Partner event.
