27/08/08 @ 2AM: Spring Cleaning

Over the next hour or so I’m going to update my website. When I’m done you should find some new books on my reading page and a new travel diary entry on my travel page. Also, we just found out that our chapter proposal for the Handbook of Research on P2P and Grid Systems has been accepted, which is good news... For a while now, I’ve tried not to write any political commentary, but after reading several books recently on the pros and cons of neo-liberalism I feel compelled to break that rule and write something about that debate… but I’ll wait until I’ve finished Greenspan’s tedious ‘Age of Turbulence’.

17/08/08 @ 2AM: Return from D.C.

I’m back from D.C. (see my travel blog) and its straight back to work. There’s lots of interesting stuff going on with Isis Forensics. Also, we’re due to deploy our first flood monitoring kit on the River Dee for the FREE project next week… so I’m pretty busy! Also, I was pleasantly surprised to be offered a job at Leuven University in Belgium, which has given me a lot to think about… oh, and I’ve updated my reading page.

07/08/08 @ 2PM: Don’t let the grass grow under your feet.

now in the US for IWCF’ 08 and a meeting with the USGS’ water science lab. You can read my blog about it here: http://dannystravelblog.blogspot.com. To those of you who complained about my use of separate travel blogs per location, this will be the only location for my current travel blogging from now on and I will then archive these on my travel page separately afterwards.

29/07/08 @ 9PM: SAINT’08

I’m at SAINT’08 in Finland at the moment. You can read my blog about it here: http://moominfat.blogspot.com. Also, the deadlines for MIDSENS have been extended by a week, so go and submit a paper!
