TEACHING
Guest Lecturer: I have given a number of guest lectures
on Lancaster University’s undergraduate computing courses. I have also
given guest lectures to outside groups.
Dissertation Project Supervision: I have suggested
and co-supervised undergraduate and postgraduate projects in the fields
of environmental informatics and distributed systems as well as
supervising a postgraduate management intern in my capacity as director
of Isis Forensics.
Undergraduate Tutorials: as an undergraduate tutor, I
provided support and reinforcement for all aspects of the undergraduate
computer science course from web technologies to computational
fundamentals.
Practical Classes: I was a practical class supervisor for
courses including Java programming, Web Technologies, Assembly Language
Programming and Software Testing.

PUBLICATIONS, GRANTS AND AWARDS
Over 35 papers in internationally-recognized books,
journals, conferences and workshops. My full publication list can be

Co-author and co-investigator of the £800,000 EPSRC-funded
Isis project proposal. Secured various FST research and travel grants
totaling over £2,000 along with a £1,400 ERDF grant for Isis Forensics.
I was given the best paper award at ICIW’07 and AHM’06.
I chaired the Midsens’08 and EnSys’07 workshops. I also serve on the PC
and review for several international conferences and journals.
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
Programming: Java, XML, CORBA, OpenCOM, SQL, BASIC,
JXTA and others.
Project Management: Planning research directions, managing
interns and students, maintaining relations with partner institutions,
planning purchasing decisions etc.
Business: Founder and director of a security
consultancy firm. Experience of bringing new products to market.
Presentation: I have extensive experience presenting to
a range of academic, business, industrial and governmental audiences in
over 10 different countries, including guest lectures and invited
speeches.
