Robots behind the Bush

Date

18th October, 2004

Presenting

Sean Collins

Abstract

Plant and animal husbandry is a human activity that has refined many of the domestic (and food) plants and animals familiar to us now. Husbandry enjoys only limited success when done in isolation (in-breeding), and depends to a large degree on 'out-breeding' one breeder's (practioner of husbandry) genetic stock with that of another.

The presentation topic is that of robot husbandry: how people could contribute to the artificial evolution of robots, and why they might want to.

Certificate 12, parental guidance recommended, contains some oblique references to sex.
