Hermes client device mounted outside their office door.

e-mail client for setting a recieving messages

mobile phone for setting messages and reciveing notifications

login to the the web portal
Presently there is a single central Hermes server at which informaiton for users is stored. This server also provides an SMS gateway for communication with Hermes users' and both wireless and wired connectivity. Wireless connectivity is needed as there is a firewall between wired and wireless networks, through which Java RMI callbacks will not work. |
