Studying Computer Science at Lancaster

At Lancaster University we offer a range of undergraduate and postgraduate Computer Science programmes that let you study at the cutting edge of the discipline - exploring all aspects of system development and gaining an understanding of the complex interactions between humans and computers.

Our world-class research program feeds directly into our teaching and allows you to work with international experts in the field. In the last national Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) the Computing Department at Lancaster was rated as Grade 5 (Excellent).

In general Computer Science at Lancaster is research led and taught with an emphasis on experimental systems development - theory and practice are carefully balanced to ensure that students gain all the knowledge required to tackle the most challenging of new problems.
