Computer Science BSc Hons G400
Why study Computer Science?
G400 is designed for students who want to study a broad computer science curriculum with an emphasis on experimental computer science. You will benefit from a first class education at one of the largest systems departments in the country. If you already know that to have a specialism such as Software Engineering, Multimedia Systems or Embedded Systems in your degree is important to you, then G4G6, G4P3 or G4GP should be a good match to your requirements. If you're not sure yet, you can always switch to these courses during your first year as you find out more about the options.

Previous Computing Experience?
The Computing degree schemes do not assume any prior knowledge of Computer Science, but students with Computing experience will still find plenty to challenge and interest them. If you have studied Computing at school you will find that the content and treatment of the subject at University is very different from that at A-level or GCSE.
Open days
The Department holds regular Open Days for prospective students and their families. All successful UCAS applicants are invited to an Open Day. More details...
