Conference Centre, Lancaster University
Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) are key emerging
technologies with a broad range of applications in various
fields, including chemical processing, environmental
monitoring, healthcare, robotics, military and emergency
services. WSN offers innovative solutions to scientists
from various fields to solve real world problems in their
own domain.
An Interdisciplinary Workshop
SensorNet 2007 is designed to be a meeting place for academics and companies interested in sensor network technologies and their commercial applications. Leading experts from diverse backgrounds (cybernetics, environment sciences, biological sciences, computing, communications, etc) will give short talks on on-going research in wireless sensor networks, and areas of future opportunities. The one day workshop will enable academics and companies to showcase their work, exchange ideas and find partners for future collaboration. The Focus
SensorNet 2007 will be held in Lancaster University. The workshop will focus on:- increasing collaboration across disciplines, across departments and across higher education institutes
- increasing collaboration between academia and industry
Who Should Attend
Students, academics and industrial collaborators are welcome to present their work through posters and demonstrations. We will enjoy a day of short faculty and industry presentations, panel discussions, and networking for future research opportunities. We anticipate that these discussions will lead to several smaller and more focused meetings in the near future.Sponsored
