I am a researcher and PhD student in the Computing Department at Lancaster University. My current work is concerned with component-oriented and service-oriented software engineering - I'm particularly interested in processes that support a "parts" philosophy in software system development.

I've been involved in a number of EU IST projects over the last few years, including ECO-ADM, CBSEnet and, currently, SeCSE - a large IP project that brings together partners from all over Europe developing tools and processes for service-centric system engineering.

(This poem is one I remember from " when I was little" - it's a good lesson in life and also pertinent to the "parts" philosophy I mentioned earlier.)
