Working Meeting on "Models and Aspects for Product Families: A Roadmap for Research"

1st November 2006

Lancaster University

Co-organizers: Awais Rashid, Robert France, Gordon Blair, and Nelly Bencomo

Venue: Brandrigg Room, Barker House Farm, Lancaster University

More details: information about hotels in Lancaster, instructions of how to arrive in Lancaster and the venue of the workshop are at the end of the web page.

Proposed Format of the workshop

The meeting was conceived to facilitate focused discussion on the use of Models and Aspects for Product Families. The idea is to prepare a roadmap for future research.

The meeting will be structured into presentations and discussion sessions. The presentations will kick off the discussions about our commonalities and variabilities J : how our ideas overlap and complement, and most importantly, the definition of possible collaborations.

We are planning to spend part of the morning on short presentations (20 minutes max.) and end the morning with a roundtable session identifying key issues in this space.

The discussion will continue during the afternoon when participants might choose to split into groups for more focused discussions if they agree. The results of this working session will be consolidated into a research roadmap, perhaps in the form of a working landscape paper
