High level work and testing
The majority of our work has up until recently been focussed on the low level design of the robots rather than higher level application. However, during this time higher level testing has been carried out by members of the Cortex project, providing the immediate feedback we needed in order to ensure successful completion and implementation of the low level design.
Related higher level work is also currently being undertaken by PhD student John Brunyee in the Engineering Department who have been collaborating partners since the start of this project. John is currently designing a new sensor based on tomography and will be implementing the low level robot platform on board track based robots in parallel with our implementation of steered car-like robots.
