I enjoy reading articles about science and technology in general although I've never had time to do a comprehensive trawl of the web for sites in this area. Here are a few that reliably have worthwhile things to read.
Probably the best known popular science magazine ever. Access here to lots of articles in current and previous issues.
The UK's answer to Scientific American. Similar style of articles. A better designed (in my opinion) home page.
James Gleick is the author of Chaos: Making a New Science a popular science book about chaos theory and Genius: the Life and Science of Richard Feynmann (Feynmann was a Nobel prize winning physicist and one of the 20th century's most effective teachers of physics). Both are excellent books. Gleik's site includes his own articles on popular science topics as well as links to other interesting sites.
A great site that explains how all sorts of technology works in an easy-to-understand but not a patronising way.
I have never really been able to understand what Edge is but there are good scientific articles here.
