who we are
The Cooperative Systems Engineering Group (CSEG)
researches into all aspects of Systems Engineering and Cooperative Systems.
Our work ranges from fundamental research in cooperative working through
systems requirements engineering and systems development techniques to innovative
ways of interacting with computer systems.
working together
We are internationally unique in that we include
researchers in both CSCW and software systems engineering and have developed
strong links with the Sociology
Department
at Lancaster University.
working with others
The group takes an inter-disciplinary perspective
and works closely with other university departments and with industry. We
are involved in two interdisciplinary research collaborations; one
in ubiquitous computing and the other in system dependability.
what we do
Members of the group have an extensive range of
interests including:
- Ubiquitous computing
- Cooperative virtual environments
- Innovative interaction devices
- Computer-support for cooperative work
- Collaborative browsing
- Cooperative information sharing
|
- Aspect-Oriented and Component-based software engineering
- Object-oriented database systems
- Software system evolution
- System dependability
- Requirements engineering
- Social and human factors in software engineering
