The RENAISSANCE project produces many
deliverables which are of general interest to the
Software Reengineering community. These documents
are made publicly available through this web site.
These deliverables are subdivided into two main
categories:
These documents furnish the reader with an
overview of both the technical and managerial
aspects of software evolution and reengineering.
The RENAISSANCE consultancy reports
describe how existing technology can be deployed to
solve evolution problems. Specific and detailed
advice on migrating from centralised systems to
distributed client-server systems is given. This is
supplemented by a number of briefing
reports which describe related key
technologies.
The RENAISSANCE Method handbook
describes a generic method for software evolution
with variants which reflect the specific
requirements of 3GL and 4GL evolution.
