This web site is intended to communicate the results of the ESPRIT EMERGENCY project to the european community.

EMERGENCY was a Leverage Action ESPRIT funded research project (29512, January 1999 - August 1999) the aim of which was to tailor the RENAISSANCE Method to devise a method to assist organisations adapt their IT applications to make them Euro compliant.

The EMERGENCY Web was funded through this ESPRIT project.

The project partners designed and documented a method to support the adaptation of IT applications for Euro compliance, prepared a set of training slides for the method and evaluated the method by using it on a legacy application. The method is supported by documents for recording the necessary information, algorithms for computing effort and tailorable parameters for customising the method to any organisation.
