I am a Research Associate in the Computing Department at Lancaster University. My research focuses on the multiple ways in which ethnographic studies can inform systems design. I am particularly interested in ethnomethodology (a particular orientation to sociological study) and systems design and this was the topic of my PhD. I am currently primarily involved in DIRC PA3, design for dependability, looking at the application of Patterns of Cooperative Interaction for design.
