WebTeach

The Web as an additional multimedia library

In addition to referring students to the University Library documents can also be found on the Web. As these are electronic sources it is impossible for one person to monopolise the only copy - as can be done with a book.

The skills of information searching are also different, the University Web Help section contains lots of good advice. Especially the Finding things on the Web section.

As a first step a lecturer can make available many of the resources used in the course, e.g. At Lancaster, similar things have been done in the Computing Department for several courses: Object-Oriented Computer Graphics, Computer Networks and some Software Engineering Courses.
