One aspect of the project concerns collaborative work in libraries. Although libraries are supposed to be quiet places where communication and collaboration are implicitly discouraged users do collaborate with each other. For example, leaning over terminals and gathering round a single terminal are common. This photograph shows a typical instance in Lancaster University Library.
