PROTEUS Newsletters are issued on a bi-annual basis in order to inform the public about ongoing work. They are intended for project external readers as well as for project members. Newsletter No.1 (Summer 1993) gives an overview of the PROTEUS approach as established after 12 month of cooperation. The basic assumptions and the chosen strategies are explained. End user needs, tool set architecture and evolution process model are presented.
Newsletter No.2 (Winter 1993/94) gives an overview of the project as it moves into the second of the two 18 month phases of the project.
In Newsletter No. 3 (Spring 1994) two of the PROTEUS application providers Stentofon and Cap Sesa Telecom presented their impressions about PROTEUS.
In Newsletter No. 4 (Autumn 94) two issues are presented:
1. Design Rationale and PPIS tool. PPIS tool was developed at Lancaster University and is being used for Design Rationale in PROTEUS
2. Matra Marconi Space views on the benefits and problems they encountered in PROTEUS
