4th International Workshop on Exception Handling (WEH.08)

14 November 2008

Welcome to WEH 2008

The 4th International Workshop on Exception Handling (WEH.08) is the major initiative to put together researchers and practitioners from various fields of computer science in order to discuss the multi-faceted research issues on exception handling from a software engineering perspective.

With exception handling increasingly becoming a pervasive issue on real-life projects, it is no longer acceptable to consider exception handling only as an implementation matter. Software developers have being faced a number of software engineering challenges towards the effective specification, design, testing, and evolution of exception handling strategies in existing software projects.

In order to discuss the contemporary software engineering challenges on exception handling, the WEH workshop will be strongly focused on short paper presentations, interleaved with discussions, and thematic discussion groups.

We hope to see you all in Atlanta!

Special Issue at IEEE TSE. An extra attraction for submitting and attending the WEH workshop is
that we will select the best papers from the workshop, reporting well-validated research on exception
handling. The authors will be invited to submit significant extensions of their workshop
papers to a journal special issue on exception handling. The special issue will be by published in one
of the future issues of IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering (TSE).
