The aim of this workshop was to bring together researchers working on reflective middleware platforms (and related technologies), to identify key developments in such areas, and to discuss the future of this potentially important technology. The workshop was a major success, with over 50 participants, invited on the basis of position papers. A follow-up workshop is now being planned to happen in conjunction with Middleware'2001 in Heildelberg, Germany. More information on this to come.
